There have been very worrying reports about disturbances across the country as we approach to the 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections
Some of these disturbances have turned violent and have involved the use of guns by party hoodlums. The Insight urges the security services to do all they can to ensure that the upcoming elections are peaceful throughout the country.
In this connection, the security services can and must carry out gun control operations to retrieve all unlicensed weapons.
Elections ought to be about making choices of policies for national development and not war.
The Insight insists that all political party leaders and activists who will employ violence in the election ought to be dealt with according to law.
Nobody is above the law.
